The must-have side for every Thanksgiving table. Chef Meas's recipe starts with a toasted baguette, cut and folded into a medley of onions, celery, garlic, and fresh sage. Crumbled sage-pork sausage lends a robust, earthy flavor. By baking it in the oven, it gets that crunchy crust for a perfect bit of texture.

This is the first item I've been disappointed with. Seasoned well, but very dry, which made it nothing more than a jumble of mushy, savory breadcrumbs. If there'd been gravy or a cup of stock to liven it up, it might have worked, but there was none.
