This dish is inspired by a wonderful stew Chef Meas' mother makes in her hometown of Phnom Penh. His spin on it includes marinated beef slowly simmered with a spicy and sweet blend of Cambodian spices and herbs. It's served with a side of steamed jasmine rice and roasted vegetables. Enjoy!!

This didn't look very appetizing but it was actually really good! The beef was tender and even though i'm not a fan of zucchinis the vegetables were tasty. It had very light spices. I took off a star for appearance.

A little strong in flavors.

Extremely disappointing; both mine and my husband's meal each contained 2 very small cubes of beef. It's really a lie to call it beef stew - mushroom stew would be more accurate.
3 Stars
The preparation was great, I just didn't particularly like the flavor of the sauce in this dish (totally due to personal preference and not at all a reflection of the chef's execution).

It was delicious! Wasn't too much, but just filling enough. Wonderful herb flavors too!
2 Stars
Too salty for my taste. Also it enough steak and too many mushrooms.

There were two small chunks of beef in this "beef stew"

Hardly any meat...disappointing.

Where's the beef?

Literally three pieces of meat. Rice was dry

Disappointing. Came without zucchini, and no herbs for the rice. Large chunks of half-raw carrots and a few bits of overcooked meat in average-tasting sauce. Needs quality control to assure individual dishes live up to the description and photo.

Really great comfort food. Enjoyed it immensely

Simply delicious flavor! Veggies were cooked nicely, not too mushy. Rice was tender and yummy. My only complaint would be that the spicy flavor stayed with me until the morning...

Very tasty, tender stew meat and flavorful sauce accompanied by fluffy coconut rice. This is one of the best munchery meals!

I really liked the star anise flavor. Beef tender and perhaps just a tad dry for some of the larger chunks. Kid liked it too. Vegetables were a great consistency for kid (and me).

So. Freakin. Good.

Great flavors, but there were very few pieces of beef in my order

This dish was delicious but will never order from you again . There was only 4 pieces of small beef. You can call this dish vegetables stew

Tasty tender, lean beef chunks in a delicious sauce. I will definitely order this again. Hint: since rice does dry out when microwaved, mix with the stew first. This also allows the flavors to infuse the rice.

Very satisfied with this dish, wide variety of veggies, amazing flavor. My only complaint was that the rice was a little dry, this was partially due to me microwaving it. I should of dribbled some more water on it.
4 Stars
The stew was delicious but the rice was dry and hard.

The sauce is tasty and complementary to beef. Right portion as an individual meal.
