Since rainy days are less and less frequent in Los Angeles, I’ve been looking for any excuse imaginable to make this split pea soup. Thick and satisfying, this slowly-cooked split pea captures the essence of ham deliciousness with cubed chunks of meat throughout. The croutons used are an ode to my mom’s signature cornbread.
