Our NY strip steak is rubbed with nothing but Kosher salt and cracked black pepper, then smoked low and slow over Texas oak in our house smoker for several hours. We serve it with a creamy potato gratin topped with Parmesan cheese and roasted baby tri-color carrots.

steak was a bit dry but overall it was pretty good! :)

Good smoke flavor. Thick piece of meat - little too thick for me. Loved the potato gratin. Veg were kind of bland. Would leave it in the oven a little longer next time; food didn't warm up as much as I would have liked after 10 minutes.
