Dal is a hearty Indian staple dish eaten by millions every day. Ours is flavored with a distinctive spice mix and seasonal vegetables. Alongside is a roasted carrot salad, zesty lemon rice, and naan bread (use it to soak up every bit of this delicious dish!). DOSA combines the spices and authentic culinary traditions of India with a California focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients to deliver a diverse and impressive selection of dishes that have made it a Bay Area dining favorite.

What People Are Saying

Portion was a little small.

The dal was a bit dry. It needs a bit more liquid.

The Dal was bland, yet pleasant, yet tinily portioned. The rice was just bland. The tiny naan disk was gummy. The salad looked lovely and would probably have been good had the dressing not set my mouth on fire.

Needs more flavor

Flavor was seriously lacking. Ingredients didn't mesh at all. One of the few bad Munchery meals I've had.

Good. Was actually better the second day. I recommend putting the salad on top after heating. The acid in the delicious salad dressing makes the dish a little more lively. The naan is not good. It was a spongy disc packed on top of the rice.

The dal itself is absolutely delicious. The accompanying salad, however, is like chewing bark. Its contents are much too fibrous, a stark and tasteless contrast to the main dish. Could the side dish be changed to something else?

Too spicy but good

This is the best tasting Dal I have had in a long time. The flavors were blended beautifully and it was not very spicy. It was very satisfying. The salad was good but dressing was too spicy. I did my own (avocado oil/rice vinegar w/ a little sugar).

This was delicious enough to compel me to write my first review. Heated both rice and dal in toaster oven, the nan is crazy soft and yummy, the carrot/bean salad was fresh and crunchy. Will always order this dish.
