In my 20's my friends would invite me over to watch the big Sunday fooseball game but all I ever wanted was a large bowl of pork and hominy chile verde with sour cream and some flour tortillas that they would ceremoniously make every Sunday within the season calendar. I never much cared for fooseball, I mean football. But, when it's football season on a Sunday the smell of chile verde perfuming the air warms my heart like the smell of victory to a quarterback after throwing a seamless pass to one of those running guys, running-back I mean. Enjoy this dish with the game on or not. I prefer the latter.
