Mexican-style pulled pork is a dish that Chef Reyes learned early in his career, and we are happy he continues to like to make it, because we sure love to eat it! A spice-rubbed pork shoulder is slow-roasted until falling-apart-fork tender. It comes with a side of rice and black beans, plus fresh salsa and queso fresco. Enjoy!

We have ordered this at least twice - always excellent. A tasty mix of flavors and textures. It is a meal, like all my favorite Munchery meals, that I could not make myself and am happy to order. Generous, filling portions.
5 Stars
I love this - if it's not a "SF favorite" already, it should be.
5 Stars
Really, seriously delicious.

Cold on arrival. Portion a little small. Not sure why food needs to be cooked again when delivered unless I missed the memo

Awesome!

Something crisp and light--salad or vegetable--would be preferable to rice. Too dense and filling

There was barely any meat. Just a big piece of fat as big as a chicken breast.
2 Stars
Just OK.

Huge scoop of meat. Did not look appetizing, however, it was extremely tender and tasty. Beans and rice were average. Was hoping the queso fresco was put on the side... but it was directly on the rice, so I scraped it off. Plenty of fresh salsa.

Mmm....so yummy!!
4 Stars
A bit salty but otherwise really good

Super tasty, and very generous portions. Our two meals provided two dinners and two lunches. I added my own flour tortillas and some guacamole to make a great weeknight meal. Not a thing I would change except maybe to include a tortilla!

The pork was not "pulled," it just lay there in one gelatinous lump, very bland, not well seasoned.
3 Stars
Tasty but too dry. Black beans or kidney? Beans and pork clumped together so hard to tell what I was eating. Rice was very hard (not cooked enough?) Would have preferred dish with tortillas and a lot more salsa.

Yummy

pretty good. I added my own greens and fruit for my sides and it made a nice meal. good size.

Very good, tasty, filling.

So many globs of fat in the pork. I ate about half of it. The rice was dry. Overall this meal felt incomplete and awkward - I wasn't sure what to do with it.

Dry, dull, drab. Did the "chef" even taste this? It was almost okay with the salsa, but it would have needed five times (maybe ten times) that tiny bit of salsa to make it acceptable. Don't order this. Ever. You have been warned.
4 Stars
Good flavor, but it was dry and needed more salsa. I also served it with tortillas.
4 Stars
The pulled pork was delicious, great flavor & I liked the consistency. The black beans & rice were just ok, nothing special. It is a bit awkward of a meal w/out it being a sandwich, taco or enchilada, but still quite good. Prob more like 3.5 stars.

Were the spices missing? This was SO bland -- did not taste like Mexican food! Pretty dry too.
5 Stars
All of it was excellent!
4 Stars
A bit dry, even with salsa. Needs more fat.
5 Stars
Loved this dish. Filling and satisfying. Will definitely order again.
3 Stars
It definitely needed the salsa because I found it to be a little bland. However, the pork was tender and juicy and the beans and rice were well cooked. To me, "Mexican Style" should mean a festival of flavor and color and this wasn't quite up to it.

Sat down, gobbled the whole thing up in a few minutes. This dish is too delicious. Generous portion, fantastic seasoning, cooked just the right amount. Can't ask for much better!

HEAVEN!!! I had some chips and sour cream to add to eat. I will be keeping my eyes open for this one. Loved it
4 Stars
Pork, queso, and salsa were delicious. Beans and rice were underseasoned.

Very flavorful. Meat was great. Salsa was a tasty compliment.
5 Stars
Very good. Filling.
4 Stars
Pork was very good, the beans were okay, hence the 4 stars, the pork was amazing.
5 Stars
This was great! Yummy pork, super generous portion, salty goodness. The only thing I didn't love was the salsa, it wasn't really a salsa it seemed like it was just chopped tomatoes.
5 Stars
Amazing! I have had this over 3 meals and each time it's really tasty! I added some sautéed spinach to give it some greens and it's to die for. Can't get enough.
4 Stars
5 Stars for everything but the "salsa". Rice/beans had their own great flavor. Pulled pork was perfectly tender. Salsa: no idea if thats what it actually was. Chopped cherry tomatoes in oily sauce. Just tasted like chopped tomatoes.
5 Stars
Great flavor, perfect size portion.

The pork was very dry after following the reheating instructions. Appearance was unappetizing. Dish was too salty but otherwise bland. Salsa consisted of halved cherry tomatoes with a little dressing--not really a salsa. Very disappointing.
