Local NY State Cheese Plate

blackberry jam, apricot compote, flatbread
4.3 stars
(54 reviews)
Show some local pride with this trio of cheeses that hail from the Empire State: Nettle Meadow Kunik - An addictive triple creme from cow and goat milk. Buttery, with a bit of a lemony tang. Consider Bardwell Pawlet - A robust cow milk cheese with nutty, mushroomy notes and just the right amount of stink. Old Chatham Ewe's Blue - You guessed it, a sheep milk blue cheese. Sharp, spicy and sassy. Like ewe. Served with apricot lavender compote, blackberry jam, Tremblay Apiaries NY state honey, and house-made grilled flatbread.

The apricot compote was amazing - subtle and fresh. The blackberry jam was lovely also, but something extra special about the compote! Great variety of cheeses. Double the flatbread, please!

All three cheeses tasted excellent; the jam and compote were the perfect complement; the portion size was perfect for two people to share. I loved this cheese plate. I would order it again.

As always, the cheese plate does not disappoint. Goes great with a bottle of wine. Speaking of wine, how come SF Munchery gets alcohol?! Stupid NY laws.

Minuscule portions. Heating instructions? For cheese? Poor directions.
