We give you the financier batter, rich with ground hazelnut flour and browned butter, for you to fill and bake the cakes yourself. A little raspberry jam is included for you to swirl into the batter just before it goes into the oven. The result? Something warm and buttery, with a fruity-tart center. Serve it with the cold vanilla custard sauce and a sprinkle of croquant (that’s French for fancy brittle) and you’ve got a lovely dessert for two baked fresh from your own oven in about 15 minutes.
