This salad originated in turn-of-the-century San Francisco where locals dubbed it, "The King of All Salads". Still hard to argue with that title. Chilled blue crab, roasted tomatos, thinly-sliced radishes and whole olives are served over a bed of butterhead lettuce. The salad takes on a rich creaminess when topped by sliced hard-boiled eggs and the classic louie dressing. And don't forget the fried capers that add little salty bursts throughout. You don't have to be down on the wharf to try this royalty of SF cuisine.
