This is one of Chef Reyes' favorite meals, and for good reason. Tonkatsu is the name for breaded crispy chicken that originated in Japan in the 19th century. We coat ours in panko (that's Japanese for fancy bread crumbs) and cook it until crispy on the outside but juice in the middle. It comes with a side of house-made tonkatsu sauce, some our chef's spicy fried rice, and a mix of roasted multi-colored carrots and broccolini.
Munchery sources poultry raised without antibiotics—it’s better for the birds and it’s better for you. We’re excited to feature poultry from Mary’s Chickens in this dish.
