This rich, chocolatey cake was made famous by legendary Ebinger's Bakery in Brooklyn in the early 1900's. The cake - and it's name - grew in popularity during World War II, when the country would prepare for blackout drills. Layers of chocolate buttermilk cake are sandwiched with chocolate pudding, glazed with a fudgey chocolate sauce, and topped with additional cake crumbs. This one is for the true chocoholic!
