Blue Bottle Coffee out of the Bay Area has recently expanded to cafes in Abbot Kinney and the Arts District, but you don't need to travel to these locales to try their New Orleans iced coffee. Cold brewed for 12 hours with roasted chicory and sweetened with organic cane sugar, this creamy drink is paired with one of my moist blueberry lemon muffins.

Now I know what bottled crack tastes like. It's Blue Bottle Nola Coffee. And how is it that Chef Lizette has managed to make this die-hard muffin hater into a muffin lover? Moist, flavorful, not overly sweet and the perfect size. Well done Chef!

Coffee was fantastic, of course. Muffin was a little on the stale side. Probably could have used a good toasting.

Blue Bottle Iced Coffee was amazing for it was not too sweet and creamy. There were hints of chicory that blended well with the iced coffee. I was not a big fan of the blueberry lemon muffin, however, because it was just too sweet.
